Gettysburg and The Masonic Memorial |
||
Traci's brother Caleb, (Pictured right hanging with Zach) is a nice young man, and we share an interest in The Civil War. Here Zach is explaining to Caleb what Masonry is and why he wants to become one. I have always enjoyed The Civil War I even occasionally will teach a few history classes in ESL and US Citizenship seminars to get people new to the US caught up on their history. My friend Jeff and I met in college at a US Civil War class, and when Caleb wanted a primer on the US Civil Way, I thought this is a great time to visit Gettysburg. So we went on April 2nd. Here are a few pictures I got while I was there. Of course my favorite stop while in Gettysburg is the Masonic memorial. I have always admired this work of art. It truly represents all manhood stood for, Honor, Dignity and we did not let a little thing like war come between us. Truly a Brotherhood Undivided! |

Laura on (or in) Devils Den. Here was a group of rocks that seemed defensible. Many causalities were found here without a wound. The percussion of the bombs reverberating against the rocks did most of them in. |
